East Carolina Behavioral Health (ECBH) is a local governmental agency that manages mental health, substance use, intellectual and developmental disability services in in eastern North Carolina.  We cover Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Craven, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, Martin, Northampton, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington Counties.  If you live in these counties and need the services we manage, we will help you obtain the care that you or your family member needs.

ECBH has the responsibility to manage public funds to serve the people of the ECBH service area.  We do this by working with providers to deliver services and by making sure that the services you or your family receives meet your needs.  We have high standards for providers in our network and we work very hard to make sure our providers meet these standards.
