Consumers: CFAC

Information

One key to reform is the active participation of members of communities - the individuals and family members affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities and/or substance abuse that can best represent their perspective and needs.  ECBH is focused on efforts aimed at increasing consumer and family involvement.

Consumer and Family Advisory Committees (CFAC) are in place for each local program in North Carolina.  The Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has appointed a state consumer and family advisory committee (SCFAC) to work directly with system leadership to implement reform.  Consumers and family members may become participants in this process by completing a membership application.

Additional information related to this opportunity is available on the Division State CFAC website, please click here.
